Winona Wee is a Senior Creative at Wieden+Kennedy London, where she’s currently partnered with&#38;nbsp;André Mezzomo bringing culture-first ideas to life ⚡️. Originally from Singapore, she’s been recognised as one of the country’s most awarded creatives, with work awarded at The One Show, LIAs, Clios, D&#38;amp;AD, and Cannes Lions — including Singapore’s first Glass Lion.

Her work consistently centres the underrepresented: championing British Sign Language with Ford BSL Covers, bringing real-world Asian delicacies into League of Legends with #TeemoTreasureTrek, challenging nepotism with #NepoBb, and pressuring the Delhi High Court to criminalise marital rape with #PleaseArrestMe.  Last year, she represented the UK and Singapore at Cannes Lions See It Be It — a global programme championing female creative leaders. This year, she’s a juror for the Direct Lions. 

A passionate advocate for DE&#38;amp;I, Winona leads W+K London’s LGBTQIA+ affinity group, The Ginger Beers, and sees cultural work as creative work. She founded Sex Ed Gay, a platform circulating Queer Asian knowledge, and the South East Asian Creative Club, a network for SEA creatives.

Born into a working-class family, she believes in the transformative power of education — mentoring through Outvertising, the Kennedys, BBH Barn, and guest lecturing at King’s College London on creativity and AI.

She’s also a regular in London’s womxn skateboarding scene. And yes, she can drop in.&#38;nbsp;

	The Ford Mustang Mach-E is the only car in the UK with a hands-free assisted driving mode.
But... how do you communicate that to the internet?! 


We hijacked a term that the girlies were already familiar with: Passenger Princess #IYKYK ✨
Introducing The Ford Passenger Princesses Collection: A series of accessories designed to help your hands look iconic while the car drives itself  💅


We partnered with Jacob Torres of Sketchy Visuals to create these sleek, 3D visuals teasing the actual drop.&#38;nbsp;Then, we got soft babe &#38;amp; queen of all things pink Nella Rose to review our Passenger Princess kit while in hands-free mode.&#38;nbsp;Soon, more fashion influencers &#38;amp; the media started requesting for more kits.. although this was meant to only be a UK campaign, we received kit requests from all around the world, and even LinkedIn thoughtpieces about our work!

	People love singing while driving, and it’s been part of pop culture for ages. However, the Deaf community haven’t been able to do that, until now.

We saw an opportunity to raise awareness for British Sign Language with the Ford Mustang Mach-E’s hands-free mode.

With the Ford Mustang Mach-E’s hands-free mode, now everyone can sing while driving — even the Deaf community. So we partnered with the British Deaf Association, UK's leading registered charity for Deaf people, to create Ford BSL Covers: a BSL cover of Express Yourself by British musician Labrinth, starring Deaf talents Charis Townsend &#38;amp; Lisa Kelly sign-singing in hands-free mode.

To further raise awareness, we partnered with BSL influencers to create additional social content encouraging their followers to learn the signs and share them with the world.

Ford BSL Covers not only highlighted the Mustang Mach-E's hands-free mode but also meaningfully brought attention to the Deaf community. 
To represent the Deaf community authentically, we:
Ensured equal access to opportunities with an open casting call
Engaged BSL interpreters for every meeting
Had a BSL performance coach on set to ensure accurate signing
Included a BSL version of our press release
Shared learnings to inspire more Deaf-friendly shoots
Through this, we reached 28 million impressions and 1.4 million engagements on social while internally, Ford has committed to more Deaf-inclusive policies.

Malibu believes that people should Do Whatever Tastes Good – yet the rum-based coconut spirit was being stereotyped as a 1 cocktail drink: the Piña Colada.

While we do love our Piña Coladas… we wanted to show the versatility of Malibu and how it can be enjoyed by a large range of people, with a large range of tastes.

So we tapped onto the 1 way that people loved describing themselves on the internet: Astrology.

We created #AstrologyMixology — 12 zodiac inspired cocktails, crafted for the 12 star signs and their traits.  A Leo who loves being the centre of attention? Try the vibrant Bay Breeze. A practical Virgo who wants more bang for their buck? Why not try a Long Island Tea.

In partnership with photographer Laura Macias, each star sign was carefully art directed to include elements which related to their respective elements (water, fire, air, earth), as well as the birthstone of each sign.

Each astrology mixology cocktail was dropped at the start of each 
horoscope season for consistent engagement throughout the year, opening fans up to the different ways to Do Whatever Tastes Good.

	BRINGING AN ANIME SUMMER TO LIFETHROUGH WORLD BUILDING EXPERIENCES
The Star Guardian skin line is one of League of Legend’s most popular skin lines. Inspired by magical girl animes, the Star Guardians are a group of young warriors chosen by fate to protect the universe.

To introduce a global audience to Japanese anime culture, we created a narrative around one particular Star Guardian: Orianna – a former cyborg who was learning how her fellow Star Guardian friends had fun.


Throughout summer, we released vlogs featuring the other Star Guardians teaching Orianna different fun activities related to Japanese anime culture, starting with Karaoke.


We created a Karaoke singalong to our summer Star Guardian theme, Everything Goes On by 
Grammy Nominated DJ Porter Robinson.

Then, we introduced Orianna to the world of Manga Comic Books: by partnering with iconic artists like Yoshitaka Amano (best known for his work on Final Fantasy), Hiro Mashima (known for his Rave Master and Fairy Tail series) and many more to reimagine the Star Guardians as comic books.

Fans even submitted their own Star Guardian Manga covers for a chance to be featured next to their favourite artists!
Finally, we introduced Orianna to the world of Japanese Trading Cards: by turning our Star Guardian’s favourite familiar pets into collectible trading cards for our fans.


With 37 cards to collect, we used different techniques to ensure high-resolution collectibles while working with Meta’s 4MB file size limit. We problem solved everything from using procedural design to create shapes with codes, to using different rendered data to create a holographic effect which doesn’t take up lots of memory. This ultimately enabled us to&#38;nbsp; build a mini-microsite within a filter.
